Women in Science Forum in Tashkent

The United Nations General Assembly declared February 11 as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. To celebrate this day "TIIAME" NRU organized the first International Online Forum "Three Generations of Scientists” on February 10, 2022. The goal of organizing the International Forum of Women in Science was to get to celebrate the achievements of women in the field of education and science in Uzbekistan and abroad and involve women and girls in research.

The first International Online Forum "Three Generations of Scientists” was organized by "TIIAME" NRU organized on February 10, 2022. The goal of organizing the International Forum of Women in Science was to get to celebrate the achievements of women in the field of education and science in Uzbekistan and abroad and involve women and girls in research. 

HNEE as a partner of "TIIAME" NRU was invited to take part in the international forum. Prof. Dr. Martin Welp who gave a speech, introduced the VEGERA project and how gender equality is a top priority within the project. The project endeavors to involve women in staffing and decision-making is not gender biased. There was a presentation by Dilfuza Yuldasheva on the topic of "Carrier Women". In the presentation, she shared her own experience facing gender biases and how organizations can change towards a gender-inclusive working environment. To bring in an example, she shared how this is done within the VEGERA project.
